Educational Purpose and Principles
AUM‑MAA’TI‑MAA‑KHRU™ is with Knowledge of the Kemetic (“Al‑Kemi”) system of education being the highest standard of the ancient world, as well as today. The students were required to study the Seven Liberal Arts, develop Ten Virtues, and dedicate themselves to Seven Behaviors. Al‑Kemi Mu Ur educational purpose involved both Spiritual (below) & Practical (ABOVE). The ancestors knew that by practicing the Ten Virtues and gaining knowledge ONE [1] would liberate the soul from the confines of the body, becoming “like God” (Identification / Unification w/ Absolute). The Al‑Kemi religion is one of rebirth; soul being imprisoned in the body, attached by ten fetters; mastery of the Ten Virtues as well as the Liberal Arts helps the soul to break free of its physical confines and ends the cycle of rebirth. This is why the subjects were called the “Liberal” Arts. In addition to the religious importance of studying the so‑called “Mysteries”, Kemetic education is meant to produce an educated, divine leadership to shape the culture and philosophy of society.
